Final reflection
During my high school life I have always wanted a challenge within my classes, so when the end of my freshman year came around my counselor had told me about the opportunity to join in an AP class. Also another reason for me joining was to make my parents more proud of my school work seeing that I am able to withstand a advanced class. Going with all of this another thing was that I wanted to have an opportunity to experience a college level class.
Having the chance to take an AP class was a experience I would not soon forget. I had taken this chance due to the fact that to me a regular world history class was not at my standards. I wanted to have a reason to feel more successful by taking a class and getting a good grade knowing that I didn’t just pass a regular class but instead I passed a advanced class. Even though the class is college level I decided to take this challenge head on, my counselor had told me that it is plenty of writing and a lot of reading I decided that that was not going to stop me.
Also with all of this felt that my parents were not fully proud of my current level within my school work, so by joining this class I had hoped to make my parents more appreciative of how hard iv worked. This was so they could say that their daughter is a AP student an not only that but she is passing the class with flying colors to show that I am ready for my college life.
This was the chance that I had always wanted to see if I was even ready for college. Having this class was going to tell me how much I needed to improve to be a success in my future school career. During this time I had experienced the difficulty essays that had been required within AP; also I had got to see the new types of study skills they will present in my near future. That’s my final reason for joining this class because it gave me a good experience on what my college life is going to be like and it helped me set my standards on what is needed for me to advance further showing my weaknesses and strengths.
This class was my choice to simply help me decided if I wanted to go to college and if I was prepared. Also this was to help me challenge myself and make me feel like a better student academically , while also helping me make my parents proud by showing them I am meant to be in college and meant to be a success.
