Habit 7

Considering human commonalities and differences

Most humans share those three things in common but at the same time they differ.  Meaning that every group has a need for a ruler, someone to take authority and establish order.  Although all groups of people need an establish order, there are many ways to do so.  The same occurs with religion, although most groups have spiritual beliefs, there are many different religions, and every group practices them differently. The way humans interact with one another is important when analyzing different points of view, political decisions, economic prosperity, and cultural exchanges, among some of the most common ones. When comparing human commonalities and difference the easiest targets are religious beliefs, their social structures, and their position on gender equality. These are the easiest because many societies vary in these points; they have different standards that apply to these subjects. This habit is basically writing a comparison essay but with a very large time period, being all of history. It's more general and a large time frame which makes it harder for me to be specific since I easily get confused with which society I'm talking about and when this civilization took shape. I have also learned that humans developed differently because of their needs and the geography around them, that’s why something didn’t developed one place that the other did or why some humans are nomads and others settled and started to expand. When I started this class I didn’t knew this at all, at first I thought that why one society developed something the other didn’t or if they settled or not was because they didn’t want to, but then I learned that what surrounds the societies and their needs it’s how they will develop.
