Exploring claims of universal standards in relation to culturally diverse ideas

    In AP World History I have learned how to interpret what one culture thinks about another culture and if they accept it or decide to close of to it. Therefore a universal claim is a term that can apply to people all over the world, they are standards to peoples lives that are vital to every human being and which without these, a human being could not be complete. The universal claim is different around the world. Each culture is different in every society. In every society the culture, traditions, and beliefs are the ones that have influenced each and every person’s lives.  Not only that but now we can relate history to what has happened millions and millions of years ago. Many people have different opinions of how they see modern history now. When we were asked to do this habit, I struggled a lot because I didn’t know what to write or what it really was asking us to do. Now, I know that a universal claim is a representation of how people see a culture. History has been studied for a long time from a western perspective or point of view, but today with new sources of evidence and advanced education, we can now see why some societies view others differently.  I have acknowldged that when an idea in a culture is working really well, they try to spread it or others adapt to it because they see it is working well for others, and they try to improve their own economy, government, social class or life, trade, or pretty much anything a society needs or wants. The way you would interpret one culture you have to first find the point of view of one culture in able to find how it thinks about the other culture and why it likes or dislikes it. Once you have done that you just find the way that culture is and why it does or doesn’t like the other culture and then you interpret the other culture to find out more information.
